"The extra ‘i’ appears to have brought extra sonic maturity with it, making its predecessor sound comparatively crude and less detailed by comparison. The 3010is demonstrate greater clarity and refinement, and prise open the soundstage that bit wider so instruments can site themselves more securely on it."
The Q Acoustics 3000i range improves upon its predecessor, the 3000 range. New features of the 3000i range include an expanded colour selection (you can now choose from Arctic White, Carbon Black, Graphite Grey, and English Walnut), a smaller terminal mounting panel, extra-low-profile binding posts, and larger cabinet volume. Such changes provide both cosmetic and sonic enhancements to the new and improved 3000i speaker series. Expect authentic Hi-Fi experiences with the 3000i speakers, whether you’re enjoying music, cinema, or games.
The Q Acoustics Q 3020i speaker pair can be mounted on a bookshelf, cabinet or another flat surface with the supplied rubber feet for added support and stability. If you would rather raise your speakers to ear level with dedicated Q Acoustics speaker stands, these can be purchased separately. Alternatively, purchase dedicated wall brackets which will both tilt and turn for flexible positioning on your wall. Stand mounts and wall brackets are available in sizes custom-made for the 3020i bookshelf speakers.
Q Acoustics Point to Point (P2P™) bracing concerns the placement of supportive bracing within the speaker enclosure. This bracing helps keep the internal resonance to a minimum for distraction-free listening. P2P bracing in the 3000i series has been added with the help of computers. This ultra-accurate method eliminates human error and therefore, reduces inconsistencies between speakers. Place your speakers on their rubber feet and enjoy bass without disruptive distortion or cabinet vibration.
Within the 3000i range, each speaker features a precision-formed mid/bass driver comprising a coated paper cone, fabric suspension, ultra-stiff pressed steel bracket, voice coil, and motor system. These parts work together to achieve an ideal combination of stiffness, self-damping, and low hysteresis. These are constructed to further eliminate resonance between any components.
Tweeters within the 3000i series are similarly constructed for limited interference. They comprise an efficient motor system, 22 mm soft ring dome, silicone suspension system, steel stabilising rim, horn profile, and outer rim. The suspension system keeps vibration minimal and isolated for optimal performance.
