The Monitor Audio Platinum In-Wall 3G Speakers comprise a 3-way design that includes two RDT III 6” bass drivers, a 4” RDT III midrange driver, and an MPD III tweeter. This speaker is capable of an exhilarating mid to low-frequency range, refined for in-wall installation by the sealed bass alignment. Boasting an impedance of 4 ohms, 88dB sensitivity, and an extremely accurate high-frequency driver, this speaker is capable of an extremely capable bandwidth of 27Hz - 60kHz, rich with presence and detail.
Great Listening Experience
Whether as the leader of a surround sound home cinema system or in a standard stereo configuration, the transducer and midrange assembly, referred to as the ‘mid-pod’, has been designed to rotate to suit either vertical or horizontal installation. Clean sound is ensured by the integration of the Dynamic Coupling Filter (DCF), dampening distortions created by surplus energy travelling between drivers. The underhung, edge-wound voice coils also limit the distortion, improving the driver's performance by more accurately controlling motion.
Connectivity and Design
The spring-loaded terminals admit bare wire, twin-core speaker cable, with high-quality crossover circuitry to maintain signal integrity. The Platinum In-Wall 3G also features mid and high-frequency level adjustment switches which can be used to refine this speaker by +/-1dB. The In-Wall 3G speaker has been engineered for durability, featuring a robust 25mm MDF cabinet and a sturdy steel backplate that safeguards its internal components.
