The Pro-Ject Debut Evo 2 Turntable comes pre-fitted with the Pick it MM EVO Cartridge, delivering a well-balanced vinyl sound across the entire frequency range. The 8.6-inch one-piece carbon tonearm, with its low-friction precision bearing, offers precise tracking and safeguards your records from excessive wear. The heavy die-cast aluminium platter, featuring a TPE damping ring, reduces unwanted resonances for clear vinyl sound. The belt drive design further isolates the platter from motor vibrations, preserving your music's true essence.
Switch effortlessly between 33 and 45 RPM with a single press of a button, perfect for a diverse record collection. The Debut Evo 2's hand-painted MDF chassis is not just visually appealing but also reduces external vibrations, providing a stable base that enhances acoustic performance. Plus, the height-adjustable metal feet are designed to ensure perfect stability, even on uneven surfaces. Packed with quality, the Debut Evo 2 Turntable is perfect for any avid vinyl enthusiast. An 8.6-inch one-piece carbon fibre tonearm is a rare find on turntables under £600. This is due to carbon fibre’s superior acoustic properties which would typically be reserved for high-end Hi-Fi separates. Yet the Debut Evo 2, in typical Pro-Ject fashion, brings high-spec features to consumers at lower price points. The tonearm is lightweight yet rigid, offering an impressive carriage of sound. It also features special sapphire bearings, high-purity copper internal wiring, and a shielded termination box for even smoother and more detailed sound reproduction.
The Debut EVO 2 comes with the high-dynamic Pick it MM EVO Moving-Magnet Cartridge, expertly crafted by Ortofon and tuned by Pro-Ject Audio Systems. Featuring a special elliptical stylus tip, it delivers detailed sound and expansive imaging for a truly engaging listening experience. Designed with a strong cantilever, inspired by DJ cartridges, it offers both durability and excellent performance. Ortofon’s split pole pins provide a flat frequency response comparable to MC cartridges, ensuring playback that’s faithful to your records.
The gold-plated RCA sockets on the Debut Evo 2 will always provide the best connection. The included high Connect it Phono E RCA uses quality core materials like a copper conductor for signal transmission without losses. This cable is a semi-symmetrical type, which means that the shielding is only connected to one end. Therefore, the yellow-marked side should always be connected to the receiving end.
A turntable motor will always vibrate, but a good turntable will combat this vibration with a sophisticated suspension system. Pro-Ject does exactly this with the Debut EVO 2. While their previous suspension systems were strong, this freshly redesigned suspension makes tweaks to vibration reduction for an even more pristine sound. By drawing on the success of suspension systems in higher-end Pro-Ject turntables, the new Debut Evo 2 suspension offers a sophisticated design at a more affordable level.
The heavy 1.7 kg die-cast aluminium platter gets reworked and precision balanced in an extra step to obtain a perfect platter. The heavy aluminium platter has a ring made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) on the inside that helps to dampen all resonances and thus minimize wow and flutter. The Debut EVO 2 platter is anti-magnetic, which allows you to use MC cartridges and upgrade to our True Balanced Connection technology.
