Seventh-generation Silver series Monitor Audio speakers benefit from innovations developed for the higher Gold range. These trickle-down technologies have been used to harmonise the impact of crossover from tweeter to bass drivers by maximising the range of the three-inch mid-range driver.
The Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II drivers, used throughout the Silver 7G speakers, utilise Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium (C-CAM) materials which are lightweight but strong enough to withstand the kinetic forces exerted during use, letting you push further, louder and with more detail. The cones’ chassis and surrounding geometry have been optimised to improve directivity and time response between drive units.Shining behind the acoustically transparent hexagonal grille is Monitor Audio’s C-CAM tweeter, which has benefitted greatly from the robust materials used throughout the Silver 200.
