This compact speaker features KEF's signature Uni-Q driver array (a 25mm tweeter in the centre of a 130mm mid-bass driver) for precise and captivating dialogue localised to match the on-screen entertainment. This Uni-Q design ensures high, mid, and low frequencies are projected in unity and reach your ears as a cohesive unit.
On either side of the Uni-Q driver array, the Q250c has a 130mm aluminium auxiliary bass radiator (ABR). These dual bass units optimise the home cinema experience by faithfully reproducing powerful bass instruments like round-wound bass guitar strings, kettledrums, and massive pipe organs. You'll be sure to pick up on all the important sonic details with this speaker front and centre.

At the core of the Q Series lies the legendary Uni-Q driver array, which positions the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the midrange and bass cone. This innovative design ensures the acoustic ideal of a single-point source, resulting in effortlessly sharp highs, robust midrange, and fast, clean bass with minimal distortion at any volume. Uni-Q is augmented by KEF's 'tangerine' waveguide over the tweeter, resulting in a more accurate three-dimensional sound, evenly dispersed throughout the room. Midrange clarity is further elevated by driver advancements that enable the removal of the DC blocking capacitor from the crossover, allowing for a more natural roll-off between drivers.
A Central Purpose
The Q250c is the smaller of the two centre speakers in the Q Series. Like its larger counterpart, the Q650c, the Q250c is essential for accurately reproducing a film director's intention within a home cinema system. Centre speakers emphasise the subtle nuances of mood and character in the human voice; hence their position in the front and centre of your system. The Q250c is the ideal centre channel accompaniment to the smaller bookshelf speakers in the Q Series, ensuring your system maintains a harmonious balance in terms of size and power capacity.

KEF's Q Series has been updated with repositioned drivers, improved materials and components, and the elimination of potential distortion sources. The speakers are available in both this fine black satin finish, as well as white with colour-matched drivers.
