LEAK Stereo 130 Package
When LEAK launched the iconic STEREO 30 in 1963, it swiftly became Britain’s favourite ‘step-up’ from the standard budget amplifiers of the time.
Now, in the year 2020, LEAK harnesses the latest technology to deliver an affordable integrated amplifier of the same philosophy, the STEREO 130 – fully equipped to meet the demands of modern music lovers, from vinyl records to digital streaming.
The LEAK STEREO 130 is high performance, high-fidelity integrated amplifier for the modern-day audio enthusiast. It is designed to be the perfect match to a wide variety of both analogue and digital sources, thanks to its diversity of inputs. It has a built-in Moving Magnet (MM) phono pre-amplifier which allows for direct connection to turntable record players. You can also stream music to the LEAK STEREO 130 from any Bluetooth device such as portable music players and smartphones via innovative built-in aptX and AAC codec. One can enjoy CD quality audio over the Bluetooth wireless connection.
To accommodate the modern-day music enthusiast fully, much effort has been made to ensure the LEAK STEREO 130 ’s digital circuitry delivers the level of quality one might expect of a high-performance standalone D/A converter, let alone an integrated amplifier solution.
Carefully designed in line with the LEAK ethos of performance, reliability and craftsmanship, the LEAK STEREO 130 matches contemporary performance with stand-out, classic LEAK styling.
Turntable Ready
Traditional audiophiles will recognise the assured quality in the high quality, low noise turntable input of the LEAK STEREO 130. Optimised for moving magnet cartridges, the JFET based circuit offers precise RIAA equalisation in accordance with de facto industry standards for vinyl playback.
Direct and Tone Control
The LEAK STEREO 130 incorporates LEAK's signature DIRECT switch to bypass steps in the analogue circuitry, for the purest signal path. In addition, the signature BASS and TREBLE tone controls allow for customisation of the amplifier output signal to suit your music medium and matched electronics or loudspeakers.
Conversion Without Compromise
Utilising the acclaimed ES9018 Sabre32 Reference chip with ESS Technology’s 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, the LEAK STEREO 130 offers ultra-low noise, high dynamic range of digital audio files with a sampling rate of up to 384kHz (PCM) and DSD256.
Headphone Users
The LEAK STEREO 130 uses a dedicated amplifier circuit with current-feedback technology for the headphones output. Equal in performance to standalone headphone amplifiers, beyond the price-class of this complete system, the design offers high-speed output signal transition thanks to a high slew rate. The result is a dynamic, detailed and engaging performance with all manner of headphone types.
Music Enthusiast as its Heart
The LEAK STEREO 130's all round performance is engaging, detailed and refined. Detail, timing and dynamics excel, regardless of source or medium. Designed for the modern day music enthusiast with a nod to our heritage, the LEAK STEREO 130 does not discriminate when it comes to expression and enjoyment of your music reproduction.
For the first time in the history of LEAK, it is possible for the audio enthusiast to enjoy CD and digital media playback.
The LEAK CDT offers the highest available standard of sound reproduction from CD playback within this price class. It is also equipped with USB storage device playback functionality.
The LEAK CDT utilises an ultra-smooth slot-loading mechanism that exudes quality and reliability.
The CD transport is carefully mounted within its own electromagnetically shielded enclosure and is provided with a dedicated power supply. The digital clock is controlled by a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator that makes sure the digital output from both the coaxial and optical sockets has minimum digital distortion, thus the digital signal extraction is exceptionally precise.
The USB storage device playback functionality offers full transport controls and folder / file navigation. The LEAK CDT is compatible with FAT16 and FAT32 formatted devices and will playback media in the format of WMA, MP3, WAV and AAC.
Carefully designed in line with the LEAK ethos of performance, reliability and craftsmanship, the LEAK CDT satisfies contemporary audio enthusiast demands with stand-out, classic LEAK styling.
One Step Ahead
The premium CD mechanism uses read ahead buffering to reduce disc read errors and deliver the highest level of digital signal extraction from CD media.
A Timeless Design
Matching the classic art-deco inspired, traditional LEAK industrial design, the LEAK CDT echoes a long lost legacy in home audio, with stunning aesthetics.
Excellence In Isolation
The LEAK CDT shields the CD mechanism from electrical interference, thus ensuring purity of signal. Such incremental benefits further enhance the performance for the audio enthusiast.
Disc Or Disk
The modern audio enthusiast will enjoy music in many formats due to the convenience and modern day quality of digital files. The LEAD CDT facilitates your digital audio collection with digital file playback from USB storage devices. The LEAD CDT will play CD, CD-R, CD-RW discs as well as .WAV, .MP3, .WMA and .AAC digital audio files via USB.
Accuracy For The Enthusiast
A temperature-compensated crystal oscillator controls the master clock. This enables the digital only output to provide incredibly low digital distortion (also referred to as ‘jitter’). This low jitter output offers superior performance when compared to like-for-like players.
Wharfedale Linton Speakers With Stands
Wharfedale Linton speakers are among the most iconic models in Wharfedale’s long history of loudspeakers. Like the recent release of Denton 85, this latest Linton model follows in the trend for updated versions of classic designs. Retaining the classic sound of the original with updated drivers, crossovers and reworked cabinets, these are beautiful speakers and an enticing alternative to more modern options.
Linton Legacy
Linton embodies the brand’s pioneering research through the 60s, 70s and 80s. With a heritage dating back to 1965, Linton was manufactured in accordance with the principles of quality and value for money.
Large Driver
Linton exploits its wide baffle by employing a bass driver with a 200mm Kevlar cone that is larger than most modern drivers mounted on a sturdy die-cast chassis. A 135mm midrange driver sits above this and supports a woven kevlar cone housed within its own internal enclosure. To finish, a 25mm fabric-dome tweeter is employed featuring high-flux ferrite magnet to handle high frequencies.
Craftsmanship
The new version of Wharfedale Linton reinforces these principles balancing high craftsmanship, lifelike sound quality and affordability within an elegantly shaped speaker whose various incarnations have sold in millions across the globe.
Original Sound
The new Linton preserves the rich, warm and realistic sound that the original Linton was renowned for while infusing it with space and detail that entices you to explore your entire music collection again.
