The Revolution XT 6F is Tannoy's mid-sized floorstanding speaker offering from the XT range which includes some niffty advances in design and technology incorporated into their reworked drivers and trapezoid cabinet.
The slender cabinets have been enhanced by the addition of a new plinth and down firing bass reflex port, leading to better controlled bass response. Designed to direct the low frequency back into the room the plinth and angled base of the speaker cabinet work together with a twin internal chamber design. The result is a low end which is agile and responsive.
Look to the top of the cabinet and framed by bolts bearing Tannoy's logo is a tweaked dual concentric driver which uses a new shared Omnimagnet design for improved timing. Inside the multi-fibre cone lies a 1" PEI dome tweeter unit with a freshly created Torus-Ogive waveguide.
Tannoy have certainly come up trumps here with their recplacemtn for the DC6T SE. All these new features allow the XT 6F to provide an enviable performance by any speakers standards, delivering a soundstage which is dynamic, accurate and a joy to behold.
High Grade Cabinet
The highest attention to detail means artisan-quality veneering and the XT 6F is available in the highly attractive medium oak or dark walnut real wood veneer finish options.
Dual Concentric Driver
The Revolution XT 6F utilises a 150mm (6.00”) Omnimagnet Dual Concentric driver augmented with a matching 150mm (6.00”) bass driver to deliver LF extension down to below 40Hz.
Integrated Plinth
The plinth design and down firing bass reflex port both serve to direct low frequency sound forward into the room, this means you'll get responsive bass, right down to 38Hz along with more flexible placement options.
Quality Build
The 30.7 litre cabinet is of heavy construction with extensive bracing to ensure exceptionally low colouration. At the rear are bi-wire terminals and the speakers are supplied with magnetic grilles.
