View Full DescriptionInheriting many of the sonic characteristics of Yamaha's flagship CD-S2000, the CD-S300 delivers sound that will satisfy devoted music fans and build quality that puts many of its rivals to shame. In addition to excellent CD playback, it includes a USB port allowing playback of music files stored on your iPod, mp3 player or USB memory stick.
The CD-S300 provides the same "Pure Direct" feature that is a popular feature of Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. Pressing the button on the front panel or on the remote control shuts down the digital audio output and turns off the display. This achieves the lowest possible noise interference and thus highest sound quality of the analogue audio output.
Plug in your iPod using a USB cable and the digital signal is sent to the CD player with no degradation and then converted to analogue by the high performance DAC, and transmitted to the amplifier by the high quality audio circuitry, so you hear your music at the highest possible quality.
