"For another year, the Atacama Evoque Eco 60-40 SE2 retains its place as our favourite equipment rack"
"Paying this sort of money for a three-tier Evoque Eco SE2 is hardly a trivial sum of money, but if you really want to hear just how good your system can sound, it’s an investment worth making."
The 5 star award winning Evoque Eco Special Edition features ASIST dampening gaskets, Mechanical Grounding and top of the line modular Isolation Components that are fitted as standard to all Evoque’s, along with the latest Hifi support innovations pioneered by Atacama such as Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels, Leg Tuning Counterweights, Mechanically Tuned Leg Lengths and Bronze Isolation Coned Spikes, all designed to give the best possible acoustic performance possible.
Any dedicated music fan can see how a good support stand can help Hi-Fi equipment sound its best. The Atacama Evoque Eco is a model that mixes a good old bit of wood traditionalism (in this case, bamboo) with slick, modern styling. The style has been taken from Atacama's fantastic Europa range; an award-winning range of piano black glass Hi-Fi furniture and updated with the bamboo treatment instead of glass.
The major auditory benefits of bamboo as a shelf material has proven so successful Atacama use the very same bamboo, imported raw from non-habitat suppliers, in several other design ranges. Not only is it a great looking wood (well, it's grass really!), but equipment sounds noticeably more focused playing on a bamboo platform and it's one of the most sustainable wood products around. Each Bamboo panel has V.R.D.C Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels. V.R.D.C. is the three dimensional geometric design that has been crafted into the underside of each module. This complex pattern neutralises high frequency harmonic energy by directing it away from the supported equipment toward the leg grounding components. Each channel has been cut into a “V” shape so directing energy that is entering the shelf vertically into a horizontal axis so avoiding resonance feedback, maximising each modules performance. Some great green thinking from Atacama!
Shelves for the Atacama Evoque Eco 60/40 SE are processed, sculptured, polished, waxed and stained all in Atacama's UK factory in Leicestershire. They come in a choice of 3 heights -160mm, 210mm and 260mm, with a choice of 3 shades of staining, Natural, Medium and Dark which all differ in price so please contact a member of our dedicated sales team on 01706 878444 if you require any advice on your exact requirement and associated cost.
High density carbonised bamboo has been proven to offer significant major sonic qualities when compared to traditional hardwood and veneered supports, with its unique micro growth pore structure offering both vibration absorbing and sound dampening properties.
All Atacama Hi-Fi Racks are made in the UK. Atacama Audio source all Bamboo used in their products directly from sustainable forests.
Bamboo is a natural material so colour, texture, grain and age may give a variable appearance to each shelf. Because of this, adding an extra shelf at a later date will introduce a batch /colour tonal difference. Where possible order your Evoque as a complete modular support with enough levels to fulfil possible future requirements in order to minimize this variation. There may be some darkening of the Bamboo over time. This is normal and part of the materials maturing process.
