CINEMA DPS HD3 is Yamaha’s cutting-edge digital signal processing technology. This can be found built into the RX-V4A with a variety of programmed sound-field effects. These help you curate three-dimensional effects to suit your desired audio content. From the effects of a concert hall in Vienna to the commentator’s box at a major sporting event, the array of sound effects immerses you in the scene.
Get Set and Go
On your marks, get set up, go! An easy-to-follow AV setup guide application leads you through installing your new Yamaha RX-A8A and resolves any uncertainty surrounding cables and connectivity. The app can also be your guide to setting configuration, getting you up and running in no time. An information-rich user manual is also available to access and read online as an alternative source of guidance.
Sublime Sound Staging
The RX-V4A is compatible with Yamaha’s own room calibration system, known as YPAO™—an abbreviation of Yamaha Parametric room Acoustic Optimiser. With the supplied microphone, YPAO will acknowledge the acoustics of your space and adjust various sound parameters accordingly. This prevents your room environment from overly affecting the sound quality of your content.
MusicCast for Multi-room
Play music in multiple rooms at once, across an assortment of speakers, with all the controls in one place. That one place is the MusicCast app! The MusicCast app lets you customise the controls with personalised images so you can easily recognise which settings are for specific rooms in your home. Furthermore, MusicCast 50 or MusicCast 20 wireless streaming speakers (not included) can be connected as an additional rear speaker for your setup.
Voice Control Compatibility
If you prefer to call out and command smart devices across your home, Yamaha’s RX-V4A is compatible with popular third-party AI devices such as Amazon’s Alexa or Google Assistant. Wirelessly pair your smart devices to get started with hands-free control.
The HDMI Ecosystem
As well as four HDMI inputs, the RX-V4A supports 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz for top-of-the-range resolution and refresh rate. For those interested in gaming with the RX-V4A, ALLM, VRR, QFT, and QMS are available with an upcoming firmware update. eARC and support for Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio also boost the potential of HDMI streaming in 4K.
